Publisher review:eID authentication adds new authentication features based on the Electronic IDentity Card (eID). emagiC CMS.Net v4.0 adds new authentication features based on the Electronic IDentity Card (eID). Two logon modules with eID authentication functionality have been integrated: The first module (logon module) is based on the middleware software of the Belgian Government. You will be able to login into the extranet or into the administration interface using your Belgian eID card. The module can be configured for real-time validation of the identity card. The second module (logonPkSuite module) is based on eID technology from Intesi Group Belgium (PKSuite). Intesi Group Belgium is the R&D competence center of Intesi Group (http://www.intesigroup.com/), focusing on innovative security mechanisms for data, authentication and internet, using state-of-the-art ICT technologies. When login-in through eID authentication, PKSuite takes care of all security issues related to the identity card (real-time verification through government services). The integration of eID technology and our collaboration with Intesi Group Belgium opens the way for future e-Government extensions (digital signatures, ...). The technology is currently only available for Belgian and Italian eID cards, but it will be extended to other countries in the near future. Both modules can be used for login-in into an emagiC CMS.Net extranet and for login-in into the emagiC CMS.Net administration interface.
